I'm pretty sure even just the shapes would violate copyright, especially on things like walkways where they were designed to fold into the bulkheads.
how can a SHAPE violate a copyright? does that mean i could run out and get one on a triangle or a circle?
wow just think if i did that the settlements i could get on copyright violation lawsuits....
You can't copyright common items like shapes or numbers.
Though the shapes of the buildings can hardly be called common, especially (as I said) the design of the walkways for where they join the plastic bulkheads.
Personally, seeing the things they have sent C&D letters for in the past, I think Cybershadow is right to err on the side of caution.
Athough the interesting thing is that here GW may be trying to protect a patentable but unpatented invention under copyright protections. The actual legal issues involved are likely more complicated than their C&D letters would suggest.
