Are there plans to post all the older online Fanatic issues as well?

Another question:

Will there be new fanatic onlines? Not GW sanctioned ones maybe but just new material by players. Maybe the mods can authorize an article to be online or not?

Will there be an active news section on the front page? Like linking forward to fanzines, events, etc.?

An article section would be cool! But I noticed that some of the sub-forums have a child board called "Publications", so this might be the place for experimental stuff.

What about the Games Archive. Can that be resurrected (Gorgamorga and Armageddon for example)?

No. Out of print games are published on the GW site under the SG resources section.

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place (if it is please move to correct one)

Something i would like to see added to the PDF offerings:

we get the rules for games, however, it would also be nice to get PDF of things like templates that are no longer offered in the warhammer/ wh40k current ranges. Also, for some games, like Necromunda, i would LOVE to see a PDF of the terrain, if not the whole thing then at least the basic outlines so we can use it as a  tool for creating our own.

i want to make some Necromunda terrain using the orginals as a pattern so i can transfer them to foam core board, but alas, my orginal Necro stuff didnt survive a fire a few years back & eBay wants a small fortune for the orginal box sets.

i just think that if  rules for the  SG are gonna be offered then also the other things needed to play the game should be offered too.

any chance on this?

thanks.

This is actually twop questions. If you mean material which belongs to GW, then only GW can rule on making it available. I would be happy to host it here with their permission, but I suspect that if it was anywhere it would be on the main GW site with the rules.

If you are talking about making your own templates and terrain, which is IP-issue free, then I would be happy to see this made available, either through these boards or on a section of the site itself.

However, talking about making terrain based on GW design is a grey area that would need clarification before it was made available. If you are thinking of doing this, it is probably easier and quicker in the long term to make your own from total scratch and avoid GWs (rightful) IP issues.

All the best.

ok basiclly what iam looking for is just the orginal cardboard necro terrain traced on a piece of paper so i can get the basic shapes- these shapes i could then transfer on to foamcore to make the "floor".  in addition,  also one of the bulkhead squares traced - those would give  the idea of how tall the space is in between floors.

i didnt think the shapes themselves would violate copyright as long as it dont have the printed images from the orginal cardbaord buildings.

I'm pretty sure even just the shapes would violate copyright, especially on things like walkways where they were designed to fold into the bulkheads.

I offered a while back to include those in an article and was told not to.  I had the idea to scale out the buildings, which would be easy for me given the nature of my real world profession, but I was strictly forbidden so I did not.  Now, as said earlier if you make your own then that is fine, but IP is IP and there is no real way around it anymore.

You can't copyright common items like shapes or numbers.

Years ago when Intel was numbering their processors (286, 386, 486) they designed a "586" processor.  In an effort to keep other processor makers from getting in on the "586" market Intel tried to copyright the number "586."  The matter, of course, went to court.  When the judge told them that they could not copyright a number Intel decided to rename their new processors "Pentiums."  (penta = 5)

Though the shapes of the buildings can hardly be called common, especially (as I said) the design of the walkways for where they join the plastic bulkheads.
Personally, seeing the things they have sent C&D letters for in the past, I think Cybershadow is right to err on the side of caution.
