Is it possible to buy weapons of The Priesthood Basic / Hand to Hand Weapons List for my Crusader after the first game has been played, like Leader Only Weapons become available after the first match for House Gangs?

In conclusion, this would mean it is also possible to equip a Zealot with a pistol or even a gun after the first match!?

No that isn't the case. The redemptionists use a very different list. It's actually two lists for the two main castes. Deacons and the Priest get the Priesthood items, whereas the common members get the Devotee and Crusader's gear. The only way to get around this is to get the Specialist skill. Then they can take the Priesthood items, instead of just Special items like normal.

I just found the note under "Skill Types Available", which sticks to your post.

"If a member of your gang gets the Specialist skill he would gain access to the Priest Basic and Special Weapons Lists"

I think the paragraph "Weapons, Equipment and Trading" should say that explicit and be rewritten in order to keep the rules a little bit more precise.
