Beasts of Chaos (Azrael71)
« on: February 22, 2010, 03:10:17 PM »
My next army is going to be beastmen.
I already have a few models painted as testers (for the trial army book).

This weeks work will be making 4 units of centigors and priming the remaining characters along with 3 units of bestigors and a unit of minotaurs.

Just 5 characters today as I have been working on my shaggoth :0

Not too happy with these pics as the colours are not coming out quite right especially on the veins on the herdstones (inspired by me reading shaman slayer at the minute).
Will have to have a play with the settings :(

Love the herdstones.
What models are you using for the bray shamen?

Okay, they are from the 15mm ranges right.
How do they look size wise next to the eureka minis?

They stand a little taller but well within what I would expect the range to be of a senior member of the herd.

Here is this weeks installment 5 units of hounds and a unit of minotaurs.

I have been held up by the dreaded marauders, but more about those over in the main thread :)

This weeks output will hopefully be 4 units of centigors followed by the 3 remaining units of bestigors.

First off centigors.
Not too sure about these, but they will do until I can find an alternative.

Now for 3 units of Bestigors

And a group shot of all 4 of them.

Also managed to prep and undercoat 5 units of chariots and tuskigors.
They will probably get done next week.

Great paint jobs. The converted Centigors are very nice.
One slight foible.
Aren't the Centigors supposed to be based on the long edge like infantry?

Sacked  ;D pack your bags and go now lets not have a scene here !!!

Thats some nice painting there by the way. The centigor conversions are impressive. Eureka stags and Beastmen I'm guessing.

 :'( :'( :'(
Kids in bed so instead of ordering my remaining horkuns and starting my chariots I have had the fun task of rebasing the centigors.  ::)

Wasn't that bad actually, listened to the latest D6 podcast which mentions FWC and warmaster being their favourite ruleset.
So I dropped them a mail about the trial army book to try and get a plug for it :)

And yes Dave, bang on the money.

Struggling to paint anything at the minute as I am still awaiting my horkuns arriving.

So I decided to finish off my Shaggoth.

I quite like him and the new method of doing red really does loook nice.
He is heavily influenced from DaveC's work and the colour scheme of my chaos dwarves.
I am not too happy about the colour of the loincloth and may change this in the immediate future.
Any suggestions?
