Interesting challenge.  Haven't done one in awhile, so let me see...

Tent of Wonders:
Strolling through the settlements around Mordheim, you come across a massive, beautiful tent.  Made of resplendent silks and gold ropes, the tent seems out of place amid the filth and refuse of the encamoment around it.  Curious, you approach the tent, and slowly peek your head inside...

Who can enter?
The Tent of Wonders can be found in any settlement, any campaign.  Only one Hero per warband may enter the tent, and may do so only once between each game.

What lies Within?
The Tent of Wonders is not one tent, but rather a name designated for any tent of wondrous looks and exotic ancestry.  These are tents come from such strange and far-off lands as Ind, Cathay, Araby, and so on.  When a Hero enters a tent, roll 1d6 to determine from where this tent hails, who owns this tent, and what results occur upon entering this tent.

2 - The Great Circus of Alahk'hi Endubrash
A Hero who enters this tent sees creatures of wonder the likes of which he has never seen.  Beasts and monsters from across the world are caged in here.  Alahk'hi himself is a jovial and generous man.  If a Hero so wishes, he will sell them any one of his famed creatures.
On this roll, a Hero may choose to purchase any animal, beast, or monster they wish.  This creature may be any animal, beast, or monster that exists within the game of Mordheim (or its supplements) and has a gold crown value attached to it (by being a hireable hencman through another warband, for example).  This creature counts towards a warbands maximum size.

3 - The Harem of Quen Tooli
Upon entering this tent, you see many dozens of women louging before you.  They are beautiful, and seductive, beckoning you forward.  Unable to resist their lures, you stumble forward with an idiot's grin on your face.
Roll a d6
1 - You are caught by the Eunuch's hidden in the shadows are are put 'OOA' - roll immediately for injuries.
2 - You are intruded upon by Wuen's guards and make a hasty retreat (lose one item of your choice).
3 - 4 - You enjoy yourself for a bit but make haste to return to your warband before the next adventure.
5 - You enjoy your time with these women and come away from it refreshed and in good spirits.  During your next game, you may re-roll a single roll made for that Hero of your choice.
6 - As 5, yet you also manage to grab a handfull of jewelery on your way out worth 3d6 gold crowns.

3 - The Great Bazzarr of the East
Entering this massive tent, you see items and baubles of all manner.  From rusty cups to glowing swords, from dragon's fangs to jars filled with souls.  This Bazzar has everything...
A Hero who enters this tent may purchase any item available.  All common items are 5gc cheaper, to a minimum of 1gc.  All rare items havr their rarity reduced by 1 point (this is cumulative with any ability to hero may have to reduce rarity rolls already).

4 - The Tent of the Dragon Lady
As you enter this beautiful tent, you see a withered old hag dressed in extravagent flowing robes and wearing a massive golden headpiece.  She looks at you curiously as you enter, and with a long, skeletal finger she summons you forward.  You find yourself unable to refuse her magical grasp.
The Dragon Lady judges your soul: roll a die.  On the roll of a 1-2, she finds you wanting, weak, and pathetic.  She casts you from her tent in disgust.  On a roll of 3-4, she finds you of average endowment and ability.  You are more to her liking, yet not powerful enough.  Escape her clutches and gain an experience point.  On the roll of 5-6, she finds you powerful and mighty.  The perfect meal.  With a sorcerous breath, she steals some of your soul from you.  Lose 1d3 experience (and any advancement this backtrack may cause).

5 - The Silken Slave Pens of Ghrana Shuur
As you enter the tent, you are hit by the smell of fear and sweat.  Before you are kennels of slaves, chained and bound.  Herded like animals.  The sight disgusts you . . . but still, you are always on the lookout for warm bodies.
For 5 + 1d6gc, you may purchase a slave.  If you choose to free this slave, gain 1 experience.  Otherwise he may be pressed ganged into your warband (does not count towards warband maximum size).  A slave has the following stats: M4, WS2 BS2, S2, T2, W1, I2, A1, Ld3.  The slave has no gear, but can be armed from your own supplies.

6 - The Hookah Den of Khalimdribi
As you enter this tent, your eyes gloss over from the thick, sweet smelling smoke all around you.  You see men of every nation sitting around enjoying a smoke or other recreational item.  Looking around, you spot any number of cushions to sit down at and join these merry makers...
A Hero may choose to immediately leave this tent at no consequence.  Otherwise, they may choose to stay and miss out on the next scenario.  If they choose to miss their next adventure and sit around smoking instead, at the end of the following scenario, you may choose to purchase up to three of any drug or poison without having to roll for rarity, and at their base cost.

Eth:
I really like that one, but what happens if you roll a 1?

Also the great bazaar is really good, 5gc discount on axes makes them cost 1gc, and later on you can sell them for 3 gc?

I'm assuming that Ethlorien just posted the numbers wrong (he has it going 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6).

Teeeeeechnically, the challenge is closed... but I'm going to spend some time reading and rereading them tonight, so if someone sneaks one in before I pick a winner, I don't think I'll turn it away.  See ya later, guys!

Urgg.  This really was a close one.  Not an easy pick, I promise you guys.

3RD PLACE - Masters & Black Market
Definitely a staple in any city, not just Mordheim. I definitely love the Drug trader & the Imperial Assassin.  Although, with the Razzia, I think 12 is a little high.  Another option is use it as an excuse to play the Break Out scenario from Relics from the Crusade.

2ND PLACE - Skavenslayer & the Cemetary
Delightfully evil. I'm tempted to use this for the Barrows in Athel Loren.

1ST PLACE - Ethlorien's Big Tent
A big excuse to use the Bear Pit rules I threw together so long ago. Definitely works in any setting, but a must for any exotic locale like Relics or Khemri.

Hope that helps, amigos!  You don't know how glad it makes me to have the Devil's Den Back. To quote Sweeney Todd, 'at last, my arm is COMPLETE AGAIN!"

Sweet, thanks so much Styro!

As for the numbering - that's just my utter stupidity.  I had planned on doing it 2d6 (therefore starting roll of 2) but bailed out at only 6 events.  Didn't even realize there were two 3's.  Phewf.

Okay - give me some time to come up with the next challenge; I'll try and post by end of today or early tomorrow.

Oh, excuse my memory lapse, but which DD was this now/ which one am I tossing up later?

Thanks again,

Daniel

The challenges I've got saved on my hard-drive number up to 22, so this should have been 23 (not counting the one on TBMF) and yours, Ethlorien, should be 24 ;)

Eliazar: as I said before, thanks again for saving all of them.  Of course, I'll be waiting to see your entry for the next contest (no weaseling out... nor ferreting, or similar tubular animal.)

Styro: I accept the challenge, but I suppose I will not be able to enter before DD #30 (that is "official" one-challenge-a-week-count) as I will be in Spain doing a pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago  8)

Unfortunately, I got pretty caught up in preparations I did not think of (last but not least getting vaccination and medicine against flu so I am well prepared to fight against the pig's flu (or whatever it is called in English), which is apparently trying to conquer Europe via Spain). I might manage to upload a few in the following hour, but the rest will unfortunately have to wait. I hope you don't take it to hard ;)

Eliazar: Enjoy the trip! Or, as we do NOT say in English, bon voyage!  Beware of sketchy looking pigs!
