@Carrington
You got me wrong....
I never mentioned that Tomb Kings are underpowered.
Tomb Kings were my very first Warmaster army and it took me some time to understand how to play them. That´s were I ended up with the 1 General, 4 Liech Priest, 6 Chariots, 2 Carrions + maybe adding a Dragon.....army set up.
This is the most effective one. No discussion about that point.
If we are only talking about efectiveness then you can skip the skull chukka, bone thrower, Bone Giant and Sphinx Unit for this Army. Compared to their ability in combat and the points you have to spend for them they are not worth being taken. (Skeletton Cavalry can be used more or less)
It´s not a crying for power up....it´s a crying for getting an additional hero to be taken in addition to the liech priest. To restrict also the command range of the "Mummie" to 20cm could be a good attempt.
I don´t like the recommended approach of taking maxed out hard hitting cavalry.....it´s much to often seen nowadays. Shure no discussion about effectiveness....there you can´t beat cavalry and Flyers....but this slowly imbalances the system in a direction I don´t like.
I have quite a lot of different Armies (Chaos, Daemon, O&G, Empire, Lizzardmen, Tomb Kings, Araby, High Elf) that I play regularily. Each of them you can play in different ways but for all of them you got sufficient commanders in the army choice....actually more then you need with exception to the Tomb Kings.)
That´s my point ....and you probably will not be able to convince me about the contrary.
Cheers
Claus
P.S.:
Let´s the discussion continue.
