Witch Hunter list
« on: June 14, 2010, 09:29:23 PM »
I know there are a few of you out there that play this list.
So here is the question, how do you base your warhounds?
Is it short or long edge?

TIA
Mick

No clue about that, but I'm wondering, is there any viable 10mm models for that army?

i think this was answered before, either here or on the yahoo group.

Using a mix of Empire and bretonians, maybe some Kislev.

Not really answered.
The posts are from 6 years ago and basically say base them as cav if they join cav and inf if the join inf  :'(
Doesn't really help me out.

Hi azrael71
I dont have the Army or have never played with them.

But from reading the rules, my view, is they are an Infantry type and should be based as Infantry, even though they are Cavalry like and should be based accordingly.

To quote the rules p20.
"If they join cavalry unit (i.e. Pistoliers), they are still considered as an infantry stand"

What do you think?

Had a thought, if you wanted too, mount the Warhounds on 20x20mm bases, then you CAN have the best of both worlds, a 40x20 stand for infantry and 20x40mm for cavalry.

This company do 20x20mm bases amonst others and they are 1.5mm just like GWs

In the army selector Warhounds unit is specified as Infantry and therefore it should be based accordingly i.e. like any other infantry.

Thanks :-). I was responsible for this paragraph in the final version, so I now the current status of this rule. Of course it can be the subject of further discussion, but this is the intension.
