Hello,
With so many players around here sharing the same interest in a great game I would find it a challenging project to connect us all even a little bit more by playing a Worldwide Warmaster Campaign. I already managed two campaigns based upon the Mighty Empires rules at my gaming club which worked quite well. So why not do that at a more global level?
I'm planning to let four opposing empires fight for dominance over an unknown area.
The basic idea is that not individual players may register for the campaign but whole regions. Each region (typically the club, town or area you meet at for your games) has to consist of at least four Warmaster players each representing another empire (extra players may take the part of native tribes or help out some empires).
Every empire will need a Governour responsible for giving ME orders, building, buying extra troops and encouraging his players to fight battles (an extra interest in overall strategies and an intention to study the Mighty Empires rules are important for that position - rules will be provided).
I also would like this to be a living campaign with fluff stories, battle reports and so on. To support that every empire will have a Chronicler. Although it helps for a Chronicler to have a talent and interest in writing he does not need to do all the work alone but would be responsible for encouraging the creative side in all the players of his empire. And the Chronicler will help out his Governour when necessary.
I already did some preparations but before I start I just wanted to ask around here who would be interested to be part of such a campaign (maybe as Governour or Chronicler too?)? And as I'm assuming that behind every member here there are some other Warmaster players at home - do you think you would get together enough players for a playing region?
Curious about your interest and questions,
Gerald
