(WM) Dwarves and rare Dwarves for Forest Goblins?
« on: February 17, 2011, 09:14:05 PM »
Hi

I have 10 packs of assorted Dwarven infantry surplus to requirements - a good start to a budding Dwarf General.
I am after (rare) Forest Goblin infantry, any interest on swaps? (at a mutually agreed multiple of course, as the goblins are rare)

Alternatively/additionally I also have 3 units of unpainted (but based) Dwarven Hammerers that I would also be willing to swap at a 1:1 rate for forest goblin infantry?

So far I have been offered 1 pack of forest goblins (waiting for photo to confirm) for 1 unit of hammerers.
Several people have offered me cash for them. Sorry I will only trade them for other rare oop Warmaster.

Any dragon princes of Chaos Norse Marauders out there that anyone will offer for a unit of Hammerers?

The 10 blisters of normal dwarves are also still up for grabs. I will offer 5 blister packs for either a unit of forest goblin infantry or a unit of dragon princes or a unit of chaos norse marauders (or all 10 packs of dwarves for any combination of 2 of these rare units).

Hiho,

I have 3 units of Phoenix Guard for trade. Would you be interested in trading the oop dwarfs for them? I would trade 1 unit of gurads for one unit of dwarfs or 2 units of guards for 2 dwarf units and so on...

Hi Toon

Thanks - that is a very fair offer but I already own 2 units of Phoenix Guard and 2 units of Swordmasters so don't need any more 'special' HE infantry. I also already have all the rare Empire blisters. I am after 2 or 3 units of Forest Goblin infantry so I can do a Forest Goblin ally contingent for my huge (and growing) 6K Orc and Goblin army.

I already have 5 units of forest goblin infantry and 4 units of spider riders but it would be nice to get them up to 2 full strength brigades of goblin infantry. They will add a much needed splash of colour to the black clad hordes of goblins I already have (12 units of night goblins). They hardly ever come up on e bay so I thought swaps may help?

The only other rares I am interested in are Chaos Norse and High Elf Dragon Princes.

Me and my group of gaming friends have been playing and collecting warmaster since it came out so some of the rare minis were bought when they weren't rare.

Also, when I heard the warning (on Warseer I think) that GW were going to stop selling a lot of their units I immediately bought a load. I remember buying a Storm of Chaos Characters pack, 4 packs of Knights of the White Wolf, 4 packs of Knights of the Blazing Sun and 4 packs of Knights Panther as well as some other bits and pieces the day before it all became unavailable. I warned my friends at the time but I wasn't on this forum then.

Since then I have always periodically scanned e bay to pick up any 'missing' units for the armies I collect and I have most bases covered now.
I have also picked up some rare units at Wargaming shows e.g. I picked up the 3 units of Hammerers at a bring and buy at a wargaming show.

Now it's harder as e bay is the only place you can really get rare units and you have to pay silly money for them. Trading on this forum is also a good alternative (hence my posting of this thread, obviously).

If the gamer who contacted me thinks they may have a genuine pack of original GW forest goblins wants to post a picture on this thread?
I'm willing to trade a pack of Hammerers for them if they're the real deal?

I did reply to you saying this but haven't heard anything since?

That gamer would be me..  Sorry about the delay. I was meaning to get batteries for my digital camera after work but I took some pictures in the meantime with my cell phone which while not terribly clear, should be sufficient for identification purposes. I'm NOT sure these are forest goblins since I've never actually seen them or even most O&G units. There are six strips of course, but I'm only posting pics of the unit and then closeups of unique strips.

Although the pictures are a bit hard to judge, assuming what I see is goblins in demeanour, and are scantly clad and wearing feathery (or leavy) headgear, then those are indeed the infamous forrestgoblins.

Great news. Though you make them sound more like Goblin Vegas Showgirls(tm) rather than Forest Gobbos. ;)

Dave,

Very interested. Will trade a unit of forest goblins or goblin spider riders if you are interested for a unit of Hammerers.

Hi Jackson

O.k. If you give me your address I will post out a unit of Hammerers. I would like you to post me a unit of forest goblin infantry.
