What is on your workbench?
« on: April 17, 2009, 04:58:00 PM »
Title says it all.
Either painting or modelling or both ;)

I am currently:
  • Half way through painting and converting my wood elf force (awaiting the new eureka releases).
  • Beginning to paint my O&G force currently got 12 heroes/shamen half finished.
  • Putting together an emperor dragon and crested stegadon I have just bought.
  • Undercoating my Dwarf Zeppelin that the wife bought me for Xmas and a Dwarf Slayer Chopter I converted for the new lists.
  • Planning my purchases to complete my beastmen and albion forces.
  • Trying to resist using my BOFA Goblins as hobgoblins and starting a Chaos Dwarf army.
So what is everyone else working on?

Chaos mortals.  Going to start the Marauder foot soon.  Looking at them, I have to say I am a bit worried at how they will turn out...

Well my workbench is:
I am finishing with the orc/goblin army (a giant and some characters) and BoFA armies (only 1 goblin and the eagles to have all painted)
Also have in the workbench a giant undead elephant to be used as a siege machine for the undeads.

Undead army is wating me unpainted.
For warmaster historical I am covering bronze age period (some assirian archers, and orient style buildings)

Burgundian 2.500 points army (WMA Medieval). Already painted 4 units, 23 and bunch of characters still waiting.
They will be sometimes used as Empire (WM Fantasy).

Hi everybody :)
Chaos & Chaos - I start to make Chaos Beastmen Army using mixed Kallistra, Pendraken and GW minis. Also I have old Chaos Warriors army (very units painted), but I sold many GW regiments and leave only models common with Chaos Warriors and Chaos Beastmen Army - dragon ogres, chaos hounds, converted chaos chariots and others. Some of them you can find at this link at Photos Gallery on Polish Warmaster Site called Wysoki Zamek [High Castle].
I also start playing at Warmaster Medieval (with my friend Kretus, also member of this Forum) so I bought a lot of Pendraken minis to create French Army from 100YW. I think that painting of them will be long and time-consuming ;)
Another part of hobby is terrain modelling together with my brother. Effects of it you can look at our website known as WarForge at Gallery in sub-album Terrain/10mm range and Dioramas.
I will put some information about progress in my work and sometimes link to few photos :)

Painting 8 GW tabletop hills and another Battlefield table - all for our playing club.
Finishing my WM Vampires at last.
Then go on to my WM O&G.

A Friend of mine always said: "The very moment I have painted all my unpainted models I'll die!"  ;)

Having listened to a bunch of the Moria bit of the BBC radio version of LOTR, I am now desperately trying to figure out where I left my Orcs so I can paint 'em up with some Dwarves.

I'd paint some High Elves, too, but their spears keep breaking and I'm not sure of a way to transform what's left of the shafts into anything.  I think I may clip the remaining spears down, so they may last a little longer.

I start to make Chaos Beastmen Army using mixed Kallistra, Pendraken and GW minis.

Have you had a look at Eureka Miniatures?
They do some nice beastmen and minotaurs.
Also their chaos dwarves and wood elves may come in handy soon  ;)

In my case - Power tools, cans of emulsion, floor tiles and plaster  :(

Still doing DIY and decorating the house - it's been an eventful and not entirely pleasant couple of years!

Rest of my Slaaneshi Chaos, Dry Undead and High Elves to do, Lizardmen with Pygm ... Forest Halfling :) allies to start. Lots of conversions to complete - Maiden Guard, Fimir, Swamp Beast, Hawk Ships, Slaaneshi Marauders to name but a few. So much to do, so little time :)
