Can't believe the Blackstone Fortress didn't even get 2nd place in its heat. Much better than the Despoiler imo. Quite a few surprises actually.

I'll stay out of the Blackstone Fortress vs. Despoiler debate, but that was certainly a Group of Death.

It seems to me that escorts have a harder time getting votes.  I thought they were great and I hope we keep seeing escort squadron submissions in the future!

Heat six was definitely the group of death, with 3 very good contenders- somebody just had to be 2nd, 3rd etc.

I think the voters were accurate, the blackstone was 3rd best.
IMO in most other groups it would be second, in one
I think it would have a chance on the 1st place.

Congratulations to all participants, I am waiting to see the grand final.

It's about what I pegged for heat 7. The blackstone doesn't have the contrast that the despoiler image has nor the base art. Both of those pull the blackstone down a couple of notches.

I am floored by how some of the voting went down. More than a few entries I thought deserved better.

Either way, way to go everyone who entered!!! Definately one of the best Gothicomps we've ever had to vote for! Nearly everything was top notch quality and nobody should be down on themselves for not advancing!

Looking through the ships again, I have to say, there is some unreal art in this competition. Great job everyone. More jaw dropping pictures to make your non-BFG friends want to play.
