Blue beards! very original  8) I like it,

The gyrocopter seems also very dward-tech.

I have seen on your post of "storage" a pic with a base with very few figures. Like skirmisher mode. It took my attention. Which type of unit do you base in these way?

I will put some up sometime this weekend. In general almost ALL of my shooting stands have snipped strips individualy mounted. The ones in the Dwarf storage are rangers (pics to follow)

OH man ... I feel DUMB   ::), reposted with PROPER scaling pictures

As prommised some more Dwarf stuff (from the storage box)

First of some rangers. for the first picture I did grab stands from 4 of the ranger units I have, but generaly there is a consistent theme per unit. Eg. one show small pools of water on the stands, one other rocks, tree-stumps etc.   General theme for the ranger units is that the "command stand"  8) shows enemy casualties. In the pictures you will see greenskins, another unit has RBT and the last one a chopped up troll.

and some more, I guess I need to adjust the forum settings to allow form more attachements     8)

Dwarf General, for lack of better definition, on "stage"...   with no rescource to horses or other mounts to gain a better overview over the battle field I came up with this one.

and additional a unit of handgunner, again in dispersed formation.

Ah I can see the larger images now I couldn't earlier for some reason. Great scenic bases there Lex and the Groundhog Gyrocopter is a great conversion. Blue beards do help to break up the units when painting lots of slayers, it's the Brotherhood of Grimnar that use a lot of blue if i remember correctly.

What is the rubble made from?

Ruthlessly stealing basing ideas - recently been inspired to finish painting my WM dwarves :)

The ruble on the dwarf bases in general ??   From the florist...  well actualy not from the florist himself, but a lot of "gift"stores here, and probably also some floral shops have fine sand - which I use for general basing and what is called "grit".

The grit comes in all sorts of colours, most metalics  8)  so you will need to give them an apropriate finish .......  (they had a nice almost fluorecent green that would make a great wyrdstone...)

If this does not answer your question then tell me which specific picture you mean !!

All pieces are parts of the existing Warmaster range  9-)  so it IS reproducable !

Well I did hear a rumor. I don't want to set anyone off so I wont say any more.  That and the fact that I haven't been able to buy any minis at all, all year long has left me playing with just counters. Besides I am mostly a stick it on the base and paint it person. Conversions I tend to stay away from. I just don't think I could do it well enough.

Warmaster Casualty markers - What models are on these?

I've separated out ~12/15 ranger individual models; and Lex's use of casualty markers is inspiring. :)

Any chance of getting photos posted? Obviously most interested in Greenskin or elves...  ;D
