So..

.. When is GW going to update their rulebook?

I see Cyanides Bloodbowl game site has the LRB5.. but GW still has LRB4 hosted?
Seems a bit daft that a pc game has a more up to date version than the owners of the IP ::)

The version on the GW site looks like LRB5 to me, it's got the Spiralling Expenses, Team Value, Journeymen and Dark Elf Runners in it.

Is there an even more up to date version than this?

Yup, here:

Notice the red text that's everywhere, as well as the paragraph on the Contents page.

The link you posted seems to be the same version of the rulebook we've been using, that was on the old Specialist Games website.

But I can't find any rule differences between the GW version and the LRB5.  The one on the GW site appears to be LRB5 with the red text now in black and an additional few pages of background material.

Check page 19 (21 of the PDF), the Kick Off table for example.

It looks like GW have taken the up to date LRB and removed the LRB name.  They are even both dated 2006.

It is the former "complete" rulebook. There were two versions on the site. Rules-wise, they were identical. The one most people used was the one missing the fluff section, and with all the rules changes from LRB4 in red. The other was the "complete" version, which had all the text in black and the fluff included.

I typed up both the documents in question.  The Blood Bowl Game site has a version of the 5.0 rulebook ... but its not the correct final copy.   It really needs to be removed and replaced with the one from the GW site which I made sure when I submitted it to GW was the final copy of 5.0.

I've contacted GW about this.

Cheers for clearing that one up, other than the added background information, what changed between these two versions?

Not sure what the differences are as that was a while ago .. but I know its not the version I would use as it wasn't the last version of 5.0 made ... the one on the GW website is.

Right you are, I'll direct our players to have a gander at the GW hosted version.

Cheers again.
