The Cabal of the World Walkers; Last of the Vend'gho
« on: September 30, 2011, 04:46:12 AM »
Greetings,

Some of you may know that I am a big fan of the Forgeworld game Aeronautica Imperialis.  I have several air wings for the game, and am the main mod at the Airspace forum.  I have run two online AI campaigns.

Anyway, I have been slowly building my chaos air wing since the War Over Zephyrus campaign last year. I'm finally to a point where I am ready to post it as a group shot. This Chaos air wing is aligned with Tzeentch, the Changer of Ways.

This air wing is called the Cabal of the World Walkers; last of the Vend'gho.

You may recall from Zephyrus that the World Walker Cabal was a faction of the mercenary Vend'gho led by Hagred. The Vend'gho had come to help a chaos rebellion and became stranded.  They infiltrated the rebellious nation of Stirbog during the civil war and effectively seized power from the locals.  Hagred wished to return the Vend'gho back to the stars and their mercenary ways.

To accomplish his goal, Hagred made vile pacts with dark creatures.  They revealed to him the location of a great secret that would allow his people to return to the stars without a starship.  Hagred was unaware of the true nature of this potential what the demons had whispered to him.  The secret was in fact an Eldar warp gate hidden on Zephyrus.  Hagred was killed in battle during the campaign, his dream of locating the Eldar warp gate and returning to the stars unfulfilled.

From there, the Imperial forces began to gain the upper hand on Zephyrus, and the xenos and heretics were forced to scramble to escape. This cabal managed to become associated with another chaos warband in the final days, and hitched a ride off planet. Indeed, Tzeentch works in mysterious ways. For the at least some of the World Walker Cabal did manage to return to the stars, even if their leader did not.

From there, the Vend'gho pilots quickly returned to their mercenary ways. They jumped from warband to warband, and went where the whims of Tzeentch led them. Finally, they found their way into the employ of Captain Traz Valsk and the Harbingers of Chaos.

Now, the Cabal of the World Walkers finds themselves deployed to Bin Mazar. (The current Airspace campaign)

This air wing currently has 6 Hellblades, 2 HellFangs, 2 Hell Razors, 1 Tormentor, and 3 Locusts. Every aircraft is a scratchbuilt self-sculpts.

I would like to add the following: 3 more Locusts, 2 Hell Talons, some brand new yet to be designed/created aircraft, and some Ground Defenses.
