Universal Battle

While experiencing the thrilling music of being on hold by the IRS, I was checking out Bugman's Forum. Gearing up for the War of Vengeance fight this winter, a elf and a dwarf were practicing some games.

Turns out they were playing online using the above program.

Reading that forum, appears some people have used it for warmaster.

It is a great thing to do! I have tried it already with a couple of games with my brother and I must tell you it is great fun. The only "problem" is 9 hours time difference :)

I haven't tried Warmaster yet, as I haven't bought memebrship yet (you can play with free registration with limited amount of "miniatures"). But I saw one game of Warmaster being played and I am going to upgrade my account so I can create my own armies too.

I really recommend that! :)

I just wonder how long it'll take the IP Police to jump on it and either shut it down completey or totally ruin it for everyone. Yeah I'm jaded, so slam me or ban me.

Curious as to why you would expect that ??
It facilitates playing games but does still expect players to use the rules they want to play by, and as long as it does not break any trademarks associated to naming stuff and/of imagery of companies, then what would in your opinion potentially cause and infringement.

We all know that pictures of our own painted miniatures dont .....

My apologies Lex. I will not make excuses for my comment as that is what they are, excuses. If there is no infringment, then they should be fine and I will use the site (hopefully after I get a new computer.). It does seem to me sometimes that great things like this get shut down, before I can use or I look for this kind of stuff and find it and it has been shut down because someone used a picture that was copy righted or some such. I have been looking for just this kind of thing. So again my apologies, I was frustrated and posted with out thinking much. for that 'I'm an idiot.' I can only ask that people forgive my stupidity.

definitely good thing, me and swordmaster are already heavily using it for WHB games but since in upgraded version (like 3.5 pounds per three months!) you can customize your own units.. possibilities are endless :)
