Excellent report and pics! I was almost defeated, over all after losing all my pikes before being able to launch an attack to the undead line, but cavalry saved the day in the last minute! (Cavalry REFUSED to obey almost all the prior orders until the end of the game.. :-) )

The Tuska vs Scorpion duel was crtical, it was the only way I could stop the monster...

Great game.

Great report, thanks for sharing! The surviving dogs of war must have made a ton of money. :)

Just on question to the rule masters:

Is that flank charge legal?

Those riders would be in the front arc (from what it looks) and the frontage of unit behind is not covered with DoW attackers but friendlies. Wouldnt they need third order to get into the flank arch before making that move?

Hi Guthwine!

To be honest, I don't remember if the pic was taken in the final position of the cav. (probably yes), and it was moved in the heat of the battle... :o

In any case you are right it seems to be in the front arc. If we were playing WMA, yes, but in WMF rules, first draw the shortest straight line and see from there remaining stands fall one side or another. WMF page 33 Diagram 33.2

Looking now the pic it seems the shortest line is corner to corner and the rest of the cavalry stands are on the right half, flanking?? Not very sure of this...

Hi, I do remember that situation. I take the photo before the movement was finished (dice roll).

Also rememeber quick little discuss about if it was flanking or not. In the end we agree flanking. It was right to me.

Thank for the comment Guthwine, we appreciate any comment about tactics/rules

Thanks for the report. Always good to see the DoW in action. I really like what you've done with the pikemen.

Have you thought about adding in more terrain next go-around?

Another good report, and pics, however like captPiett i note that there wasnt much terrrain in use, is this common in your games, as mine tend to feature much more than that shown in this report?

Yep, we tend to not overload the table with terrain.

This time the scenic was selected by my to start the battle without waste too much time. Other times we use the table in WMAncients for randomize terrain

I find useful to have all bat reports together in a forum thread to locate them faster
