Those rats are great!  I like the dark 'theme' to them!

Amazing highlighting on black robes on such a small scale.

Slay-kill the manthings where they sleep! Kill their breeders, kill their men, kill everyone. If you do not move-move quick-quick you will feel the goad.

So says the great packmasters of Clan Moulder.

Here are WIP shots of the rat ogres. Still need to shade the skin a bit more, but here's what I have so far:

Out of curiousity, how many pots of Badab Black do you get through in a day? ;-)

I buy all my washes in bulk. Believe it or not, I use Devlun Mud / Agrax Earthshade far more than Badab Black / Nuln Oil... NEVER underestimate the power of a wash. The guys back at the shop nicknamed me Brown Wash.

Does that make me less of a legitimate painter? I often wonder if other people use washes like I do. I think washes are the only way to shade / highlight sometimes, though I'm also a fan of wet blending.

And here we have a Pit Brute! This guy is huge when compared to the rat ogres. I would include him in a Skaven army as a single character with a rat packmaster whipping him and a sea of little rats underneath him. Just my 2 cents. This guy is huge, when compared of course.

Stunning work as always - I was only teasing about the washes.  I think it's 100% respectable to paint with washes.  It's not like you're getting a machine to do it for you!

I've mostly been using Badab Black, but I have the Devlan Mud one here I'm trying out on some Infinity bases - seems great!

Like Rats I think...lol...rats multiply as fast, if not faster, especially with a food source, which BTW can be self-supplied (they be cannibles ya know...lol)

That's the scary part about Skaven... their numbers are always out-distancing their supply. If they could only organize themselves to take over the world! If only... that council needs to unite the clans! Cover the Earth in greasy, stinky fur and scuttling claws!

Fantastic!

Dave, you'll be happy to know too that the photos are dark and the rat ogres turned out way better than they look in the photos :) :)

Devlun MUD ALL THE WAY! I have over 15 bottles of it  :o :o :o
