Well 6mm is a great scale also for warmaster. I use to play with the rules of WMA, bases of 4x2 and all the same.
In my opinion the best figures are Heroic and Ross. Really do not like Baccus, yes a little more detail but you lost the 6mm sensation, they are good for 10mm hobbits

For fantasy, irregular has an extense catalogue, is cheap and have good figures.
LoveJoy also has sculpted good 6mm fantasy miniatures.
Here are a couple of pics of Greeks versus Achaemenid persians, I think it was a playtest of Platea or something against Edmund (sorry for the second pic, it get corrupted don't know why)


And if you like 6mm sooner or later you will grab a 2mm army, it is also pretty interesting. As 6mm I use warmaster rules, with the same base system (I think touching this basic mechanic of the game, you could ruin it).
