Beastmen - special skill "shaggy hide"
« on: August 02, 2009, 11:49:45 AM »
Hi,

From the empire in flames rules the Beastmen can get the special skill "Shaggy Hide" stating that they can wear a double handed weapon in one hand.

I an Empire of Flames errata I read that definition got replaced as follows:

The Beastman’s massively shaggy hide acts as armor, deflecting sword strokes and protecting him from harm. The model gains a 6+ Armor Save that can be combined with other armor as normal.

Does this mean that the special skill to wear double handed weapon in one hand is no longer available for beastmen ?

Does this also mean that if I give my Beastmen Captain  the "shaggy hide skill + Gromril armor + Shield  that he got a basic 2+ Armor save ?

Sorry for this questions but I don´t have town criers or Annuals.

Regards
Claus

Yes to all your questions. :)

The official errata override the printed Empire in Flames supplement (and the PDFs equal that one).

Sorry for the Necro, but we're just about to play a Mordheim campaign, and I'm taking Beastmen, so...

Recently downloaded all the rules as per the Mordheim page on the GW website, and Shaggy Hide still says can use a 2H weapon.  Is the FAQ that changed this up on th website, and if so, where, as I've obviously missed it. :-[

[Edit] Ignore me, I've found it on this site.
