I am going to be speaking from a Warmaster point of view but it might apply to other specialist games. (SG)
It is no giant secret that at the present the SG section of GW is not a soaring phoenix of red hot sales in the market place. While there is always speculation on the actual health of the branch it would seem that what we have right now is the status-quot. It is not likely to die off in the near future and almost with certainty it will not explode with new activity.
Now with that said I am at a loss as to how little presence Warmaster has on the web. Warmaster has been around 12 years now! There are few websites which feature good in depth content like painting modeling etc. There is almost nothing in the way of media as well and that is what is the most frustrating. Warmaster has no presence on YouTube whatsoever with the exception of some french kids playing a game. Even worse than having no active visuals to the game are the lack of audio resources. Pod casts and other recordings even if there only general musings or misc ramblings about the game are great to listen to in the background while painting or modelling especially if you are all alone in your hobby.

Perhaps I am just bitter becuase there is loads of stuff like that for the well established games like Warhammer and 40k. While it is my plan to try to make some content like that in the future I am focusing on expanding my collection first. Once I have something to talk about and show it might be possible next year.

My next question for people is this. Do you have any interest creating some sort of media for your favorite specialist game? An audio clip taking about the game or a short video explaining to newbies what its all about? I think it would be great for the SG groups to explore that area of the hobby where there is a void at the moment.
