Painting wishes for 2013
« on: December 31, 2012, 08:26:29 PM »
Happy new year and best wishes to all of you!

The question is what are you plan to paint or complete in this coming year?

I do not have it really clear, in my plans are finishing an army to play araby in fantasy, the battle of Agincourt, and some randomize units for the armies (empire, vampire count, bretonian, chaos n orc n goblins).

Planning on the Sword Masters at this point. After that I've got some other rare units planned for the elves, but those are dependent on executing the conversions too. Might go back to the Dwarves at some point, or start one of the other ten armies I've got packed away in my closet. :P

Hmmmmm.... My choices are far too numerous to pick from.

Maybe to pick up a brush and just start on something.... anything, that will give me inspiration to get going!!

My first two objectives are very modest.  Last year I bought lots of painted orcs and Empire, but for some reason very few characters are included.  So I just need to paint some characters, and I'll have two new armies.  After that, my far more ambitious goal is to paint the undead army that I just barely started on last year.

I hope to do a load more Empire - perhaps finish off all the infantry.

So far I've done 12 units of halberdiers, 6 units of crossbowmen and 3 units of flaggelants.
I need to do another 6 units of crossbowmen, 3 units of flaggelants and 6 units of hand gunners.

Step 1 is to get my orcs up to 1500pts (not far now- but I'm a really slow painter). For Step 2 I may get them up to 2000pts, or try to give them something to fight against.

I'm tempted by Empire or Kislev, but may go with a really quick paint job on some khemri undead. Either way, it needs to be something with very few and consistent colours, so I can work quickly (my orc colour scheme is rather colourful, but not bright, with no uniforms-painting can just be too daunting).

Austin, Texas.  I was lucky enough to be living in the UK when Warmaster came out, but drifted away from the game when I moved back to the US in 2003.  Now I've been bitten by the Warmaster bug again.

Once I've finished the Ostermark/Kislev project, I think this year I will return to a Nuln project that has been on the back-burner for too long.  I will post WIP pics on the modelling/painting thread.
