« on: August 17, 2009, 02:32:30 PM »
Just though i post it here. Becouse there's a little glimp at the beggining of the clip that may cheer the hearths of BFG players. Maby it's only few seconds but we can see SM cruiser and 'Ulk :) Still those GW trailers are really crappy basing on what they could done...

The video is crap.
But I rarely find that they are any good for board games.
Just read the bumph on the site looks like they have not included thunder hammers but reading through it I can't wait to get my copy.

I am wondering if they did anything to the rules?

I am going to sell a couple of Miniature Building Authority buildings to help pay for my new Space Hulk Game.

Checked out the video clip again to see if I had done something wrong to shorten it but nope, just a short video clip.

If it was me I would have made about a 30 second to 1 minute clip on it. Worldworksgames (they make paper terrain) put out some really cool 1 minute clips on a new building with music and etc.

One good thing is more people will have access to the game and can play.

Well I never played version 2 rules so I am hoping for a revisit to version 1.

Well, the presence of 'standard' dice in the game implies a rework of first edition. Rumours state that this is a combination of first edition Space Hulk and Deathwing in one box.

There definitivly will be some new things but it looks like good old 1st edition with d6 dices, which i prefer. One for sure - they have to come up with something for the Broodlord becouse it's not a 1st edition Patriarch - which was rather a sitting psychic cannon :) Also there's a CAT unit, dead marine and a relic - so it implies that the classic mission will be among those twelf they annoaunced.

PS. anyone else pretty disturbed with Blood Angels dead count in their first boarding attemp? I mean we're talking 950 Terminators...whoa...They don't even have that many...And that's like almost a whole chapter butchered  ;D That's the same story from the 1st ed rulebook but I just remembered how huge that number was.

EDIT: I just read the 1st ed. rulebook again and remembered. Indeed 950 is the dead count resolving almost in a dissolution of the Blood Angels chapter. Although ovcourse most of casualties were normal marines, terminators also suffered heavy - at the end only twelf of them were aible to fight back.

I too have heard it is spacehulk and deathwing combined.
Which is great news.
Never really got on with 2nd edition.

I hope (but doubt) they will revisit the genestealer expansion but that would require restocking the genestealer cult models ;)
I know there are two people in my gaming group who still play this list in 40k.

But adding other races to the game would be a bonus.
If it is just 1st ed reboxed then there is already a lot of stuff out there and it will give me a reason to buy those new harlequins  ;D

If they do revisit the genestealer expansion they may need to be cautious.  Many Space Hulk players, myself included, found genestealer made the psykers so powerful everyone else just became their bodyguards or a minor part of the game.  If only my finances would let me order a copy  :(.  I already own the 2nd edition which I play with the older rules and the Deathwing expansion.
