To celebrate the addition of a few wonderful space tables to the inventory of our local gaming store, De Tafelridder (The Table Knight) in Leiden we will be organising a modest BFG Tournament.
We will be playing with 1200 points.
The tournament rules from Adepticon will largely be in effect and can be found here:
http://www.adepticon.org/13rules/2013bfg.pdfSome of the most important points from these rules:
- The basic V1.5 rules from the GW site will be used
- The FAQ 2010 will be in effect
- LD for all ships will be rolled individually before each battle
- All Fleet Registries will be open to other players
A few exceptions:
- Bringing transport ships is not necessary (sorry, most gamers in our group don't have these)
- To save time, the terrain will be placed on the tables before the tournament starts
- "Fluff" based pairing of opponents will be made wherever possible for the first round. Within the "Swiss" system this will also be attempted for the subsequent battles.
As of now the planning for the day is as followed:
10.30: Arrival and registration
11.00: First scenario: Surprise Attack
13.00: Break
13.30: Second scenario: Escalating Engagement
15.30: Break
16.00: Third scenario: Fleet Engagement
18.00: Break followed by announcement of results and prize draw
Also of importance is the following
- As of now there is room for 8 persons. If there are more enrollments, we will have to find some extra terrain.

- Entry is € 5 per person
- There are snacks and beverages available from the Tafelridder, so leaving in between battles on food runs will not be necessary.
- A small prize will be made availble by the Tafelridder in the form of store credit.
