[update] since the original post, Polar Fox miniatures launched their own line of Orcs that is the closest thing you can get to the original GW figures in terms of style and they provide most of the units (and some more e.g. you could field the goblin army as well)
------------------------------

As many of you know, since GW stopped producing 10mm figures, I have started making lists that map warmaster troop types to miniatures that are widely available today and posted them on my blog.

For the Orcs& Goblins here is my list and feel free to either send comments on my blog, or use this thread to suggest improvements, alternatives etc

http://www.athens-fantasy.gr/2013/07/orcs-goblins-warmaster-with-non-gw-miniatures/

Due to the size incompatibility between different manufacturers I have created 2 separate lists

True 10mm
--------------

So for this list we will use mostly miniatures from Copplestone Castings and/or Polar fox that are comparable in size to the GW figures.
Copplestone Castings have a LotR style so some suggestions are not strictly Orc or Goblin. Polar Fox has great coverage of the army list and is closer to the old warhammer style.

Orc Warriors
Copplestone Castings TM1 10mm Orcs
or Polar Fox Orc Infantry (they also have a savage orcs variant!)  http://www.polarfox.info/Orc_Infantry/p2627799_14200315.aspx

Black Orcs
Copplestone Castings TM5 10mm Half-Orcs with Swords
or Polar Fox Ironside Orcs http://www.polarfox.info/Ironside_Orcs/p2627799_13080630.aspx

Goblins
Magister Militum FOG111 Goblin Archers
Polar Fox goblins: http://www.polarfox.info/Steppe_Goblin_Infantry/p2627799_12488467.aspx

Trolls
Copplestone Castings TM4 10mm War Trolls
Pollar fox Trolls: http://www.polarfox.info/Taiga_Trolls/p2627799_12488305.aspx

Ogres
Kallistra Giants – Evil (AC6) – these are not too gigantic… could pass as large sized ogres.
Magister Militum FOG606 Unarmed Ogres with Clubs

UPDATE: there are rumors that Eureka miniatures will be producing Ogres figures in 10mm soon… stay tuned

Wolf Riders
Copplestone Castings TM6 10mm Orc Wolf-Riders
Goblin Wolf riders: http://www.polarfox.info/SG_Wolf_Riders/p2627799_14200314.aspx

Boar Riders
Magister Militum FOG405 Great Orc Spearmen riding Wargs
Polar fox Orc Boar riders: http://www.polarfox.info/Orc_Boar_Riders/p2627799_14200342.aspx

Wolf Chariots
Kallistra Orc Heavy Chariots (107) – you might want to replace the rider (or not) for compatibility
Polar Fox Goblin wolf chariots: http://www.polarfox.info/SG_Vehicles/p2627799_12488410.aspx

Giant
Copplestone Castings 15mm FM18 Magog the Hill Giant
Magister Militum FMC601 Giants with Clubs
Or Polar Fox set of giants: http://www.polarfox.info/Giants_Set/p2627799_13339171.aspx

Rock Lobber
Kallistra Orc Ballistae (106) – you might want to replace the crew (or not) for compatibility
Polar Fox Stone throwers: http://www.polarfox.info/Stone_Throwers/p2627799_12488402.aspx

Orc General
Copplestone Castings TM9 10mm Evil Characters
Polar fox Orc Characters: http://www.polarfox.info/Orc_characters_and_winged_Snake_Riders/p2627799_14200346.aspx

Orc Hero
Copplestone Castings TM9 10mm Evil Characters
Polar fox Orc Characters: http://www.polarfox.info/Orc_characters_and_winged_Snake_Riders/p2627799_14200346.aspx

Orc Shaman
Copplestone Castings TM9 10mm Evil Characters (no Orc shaman but could use the Saruman-like wizard)

Goblin Hero
Microworld 6mm Orc Characters (thanks kyussinchains!)
Polar Fox goblin heroes: http://www.polarfox.info/SG_Characters_and_Winged_Snakes/p2627799_12488057.aspx

Goblin Shaman
Microworld 6mm Orc Characters (thanks kyussinchains!)
Polar Fox goblin heroes: http://www.polarfox.info/SG_Characters_and_Winged_Snakes/p2627799_12488057.aspx

Wyvern
Ral Partha/Demonworld Wyvern Rider (15mm) – replace rider with 10mm figure
Ral Partha Fantasy 01-050 Wyvern
Copplestone Castings TM9 10mm Evil Characters – not an Orc but the wraith on the winged creature could be used.
15mm.co.uk HOT34 Wyvern

Chariot (mount for hero)
as above for Wolf chariots

Large 10mm
----------------
So for this list we will use mostly miniatures from Kallistra that are fairly larger in size compared to the GW/Copplestone/Polar Fox & Eureka figures. They are not as nice sculpts but can be cheaper to buy and faster to paint.
Most Kallistra blisters are actually based on Pendraken miniatures but cast in strips (which is convenient for warmaster) But if you prefer single figures you can easily find most (or more) in the Pendraken catalogue.

Orc Warriors
Kallistra Orc Horde (101)

Black Orcs
Kallistra Mountain Orcs (108)

Goblins
Again no small goblinoids available in 10mm (Pendraken’s goblins seem to be taller than their Orcs) so you could use orc archers as a proxy:
Kallistra Orc Archers (103)
OR how about 6mm Orcs at Microworld games (thanks kyussinchains!)

Trolls
Kallistra Trolls (105)

Ogres
Kallistra Giants – Evil (AC6) – these are not too gigantic… could pass as large sized ogres.
UPDATE: there are rumors that Eureka miniatures will be producing Ogres figures in 10mm soon… stay tuned

Wolf Riders
Kallistra Orc Wolf Riders (104)

Boar Riders
Pendraken Boar Rider with spear/polearm (F06)

Wolf Chariots
Kallistra Orc Heavy Chariots (107)

Giant
Copplestone Castings 15mm FM18 Magog the Hill Giant

Rock Lobber
Kallistra Orc Ballistae (106)

Orc General
Kallistra Orc Command (109)

Orc Hero
Kallistra Orc Command (109)

Orc Shaman
Kallistra Orc Command (109) – I am not sure there is a shaman in there – might be easy to convert though
Pendraken Goblin shamans – I believe these are quite large so I classified as Orcs

Goblin Hero
Microworld 6mm Orc Characters (thanks kyussinchains!)

Goblin Shaman
Microworld 6mm Orc Characters (thanks kyussinchains!)

Wyvern
Ral Partha/Demonworld Wyvern Rider (15mm) – replace rider with 10mm figure)
Ral Partha Fantasy 01-050 Wyvern

Chariot (mount for hero)
as above for Wolf chariots

Abomination miniatures have some ogres canonners but have planned to do some ogres that could fit well.

I've been thinking about this some more and as I'm a real fan of the copplestone style, I think you could do almost everything in the list with them,

taking the archers = goblins idea, I think the wolf riders with bows could be goblin wolf riders and the wolf riders with hand weapons would work as boar riders, might get expensive depending on the assortment of variants you get in the pack!

I'd also be tempted to use the 'not ringwraiths' as goblin heroes/shamans

also possibly the 15mm fantasy range may provide suitable ogres, any of the barbarians or even dwarf axemen would work quite well, or the snow trolls could be used as well

I'm using the 15mm Pict warriors as ogres for my Albion army - they have a more savage look than the GW ogres which is more appropriate for a primitive force like Albion or Orcs and Goblins. Scale-wise they work reasonably well, although they're hunched over they look imposing alongside 10mm infantry.  I'll try to post some pictures when I get the chance.

Copplestone figures are awesome!, an idea is useing wargs as goblin chariots. We use the wargs of BOFA for this purpose in our games and IMHO copplestone wargs are better than Bofa wargs.

It is a really pitty that Mark suffer of cross-eyes and 10mm seems difficult to sculpt for him, so as far as I know it is not planned to expand the 10mm range... too tiny.

That's a pity cause Eureka and Copplestone are the best fantasy 10mm figures out there.

Perhaps he can still cover the more "monstrous" elements (e.g. proxies for Dragon Ogres, Spawn for Chaos, Manticore for DE, 10mm dragons and wyverns etc)

Does anyone know how 'open to suggestions' he is? or whether he would do commissioned work?

having browsed his range extensively, I have to say it's my favourite 10mm out there at the moment, the slightly cartoonish style reminds me of Mark Gibbons artwork from the heyday of GW

Also he sculpts the best beards around! ;)

Yes indeed it is and only $9 (£5.50 or 6.50 Euro).

Hmm, how about a Giant Army list?  A 600 point brigade of 4 giants, ouch, that's gonna hurt! 3 brigades plus a few wizards to command them...bwahahahaha ;)

I've seen this before when looking for Tolkien in 10mm trolls. I think it might make a very imposing Giant proxy!
