If anything should disable a medic or an armourer would be him being injured in the past game, not being absent from action, unless you consider the "weapon check" and the medical attention as something done on the field. But by the description, it would seem like they happen in the gang HQ.

I completely agree, a fighter rolling for a serious injury shouldn't be able to use any skills a long side being unable to perform any post game action. I'm not sure if this falls within the remit of the FAQ though since skills have never been affected by whether the fighter went OOA and it's not quite a rules loop hole or anything.

Well, when a fighter rolls for serious injuries, it means he's been put out of action right? Iirc there is some rules somewhere that says that if a fighter goes ooa he just can't be used on anything for Post Game action like seeking objects etc.

Nope that's not the case. The Territory section mentions that gangers that didn't go out of action can work a territory and that's the only mention I could find. The trading rules where it says that gangers can help the gang leader search for rare trade doesn't make any mention whatsoever of injuries so if you were going strictly by the rules then you could argue that gangers that went out of action could still search for rare trade. There's certainly no mention of serious injuries affecting skills like Inventor.
