causality markers question
« on: August 09, 2013, 10:12:54 AM »
I wonder how many causality marker types exists. They were 10 in blister - does it mean there are ten types, or are there more of them just accidentaly put into blister? Thanx

There are more....

Use the search function here on the board....there are allready 3 threads covering this question.

If I remember it right in total it were 18 different ones + 1 very rare large one only available on a special event.

Regards
Claus

Ibwas thinking of producing casualty markers for each race and selling them and giving them away at events.

I would go with one figue/item on a base to indicate one point of damage, two figures/items for two points of damage.  But I don't know how well they'd sell.

One problem with casualty markers to WM is that they aren't actually much use in the game. You only need to track wounds during a combat - and small dice seem to work better for this, than markers.

For other games were units carry their wounds around between turns, then markers can be very useful, and look really good on the table.

One thing I have thought about in the past, but never actually tried, is to leave a marker on the table for each casualty a unit suffers, which would leave a litter of dead around the table as the game unfolds.

Smaller markers could (or not) be easier to use. I like the idea of dead markers everywhere on the field, anyway.

That is a cool idea!

Casualty / Dead Markers

If the Marker could be used for either casualty or dead (Players' Choice) then it may sell better I think.  The main question is how large should they be?  the size of small d6? or....

I guess 2x2 cm (half long the regular warmaster base)... just an idea.

I found status makers intersting becuase when you finish resolving that long combat and goes to the next sometimes is hard to remember which unit has the waaagh spell, is enchanted or which unit has -1command because that fumble... etc...

Also in siege games some wall damage marker could be usefull.
