[WM] Kyussinchains dwarf army
« on: August 27, 2013, 07:57:26 AM »
So I've finally got my hands on everything I need to make a decent sized dwarf force for warmaster, and as I've agreed to attend a tournament in november, I need to get a wriggle on and paint some of this stuff up!

I have a shot of the lead mountain although forgot to upload it!

in the meantime here's a couple of shots of my WIP flame cannon conversion:

needs some GS work and gluing together, but I'm pretty chuffed with it so far!

about 3k or thereabouts

I don't think I'll need much more than that, and I've only got 4 units of rangers so going over 2k is sub-optimal really!

I've got something approximating the following:

far too many characters
2 units of GW warriors
3 units of Eureka Warriors
4 units of Pendraken Warriors
3 units of GW thunderers
4 units of GW Rangers
3 units of GW slayers (with some snipping anyway)
2 units of GW cannons
1 unit of Pendraken cannons
2 Pendraken Gyrocopters

I also have a bunch of irregular dwarfs, 3 units worth, but not a huge fan of the models, probably have another units worth of assorted pendraken dwarfs too

thanks :)

I uploaded a shot of the entire (unpainted) army with an incidental look at the (semi)organised chaos of my painting workstation!

That flame cannon is great!  Did you end up using a Renedra barrel, or something else?

What piece is the metal gun barrel at the end?

Actually the barrels were given to me by empireaddict, they were from an old Italeri 1:72 battlefield accessories kit

The main barrel is one of the gun options from an epic armageddon tank kit, fan made and now OOP I'm afraid....I had quite a few spare as it was an option I didn't use

Hey kyuss, would you mind showing a close up of pendraken cannons next to the GW ones? Also would mind doing a shot of the 3 different dwarf warrior types side by side to get a feel for them?

Thanks,
Blind-

until later, I did a comparison pic of most of the 10mm dwarf ranges in my collection here:
