How To Train Your Dragon was pretty good. Not a particular favourite of mine, but a nice, watching movie night in.
last one i watched was "pacific rim" in 3D.
although some people told me beforehand that the story is lame, some others said it has good balance between a little bit of story so that it all makes some sense and the real action stuff...
after seeing it, i tend to the latter version.
and, you know, giant robots the size of warlord battle titans using a cargo ship taken out of the water in the harbor as a massive club for beating up even more giant monsters, whats not to like about it??
I saw this in the cinema too. Plot holes you could walk a Jaeger through, bad acting, patchy writing.... I loved it! Anyone remotely into the Japanese Kaiju and/or Mecha movies and toys has to see it... and wait for the post credits scenes too.
Last movie I watched was Oblivion. Actually surprisingly good. Its got a Hollywood ending (which I wont spoil) but its the first film in a long, long time that actually surprised me with a few plot twists and events that I didn't see coming. Its a wonderful, rare feeling when the path suddenly opens up for you in a movie and you see where you are suddenly being taken. Not a great movie, but really worth a watch.
