Help with WM Orcs
« on: October 03, 2013, 10:26:38 AM »
I have picked up a couple of old warmaster orc units that I no longer have a need for.
THey are painted to a decent standard.
Not sure of price as I can't seem to find them on the web, but have seen them in the old warmaster magazine.

They are Orc spider riders (3 to a base, 3 bases), savage orcs, snotling pump wagon, goblin launcher??? (winged goblin), bases just with squigs, savage orc boar boys and jungle goblins.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Savage Orcs and Savage Orc Boar Boyz are pretty valuable (maybe around $100 US). Forest Goblins can also go for a bit, but that's more variable (around $60-80 US). Spider Riders are usually less popular, and having only 9 of them means I wouldn't expect too much for them (maybe $30 US).

A base of just squigs is not usually very valuable, as squigs come with many common units, but they may sell well now that common units are becoming rarer.

The pump wagon and a goblin launcher/winged goblin would not be GW models. Prices for them then depend on how good the models are.

Prices are doing odd things since the discontinuation- I'd probably auction these as prices may go surprisingly high.

The original blisters of GW spider riders came with 12 spiders (i.e. 4 to a base). It's just that many people have based them 3 to a base to stretch them out and to better reflect their "light cavalry" function.

The savage orc boar boys in particular are probably worth a lot now!

Any idea on the prices of the other bits?
I am wanting to avoid ebay as they hammer you with the fees.

Any help is really welcome.

COOL!

Prices before those ones where largely under 100 bucks. So take those prices with carefull interest. Ebay always give mad prices and just the day after, more normal ones.

For my part, i think they would be sold for 100$. Maybe 120$ max. It will be hard to find someone able to buy them for a higher price. The advantage of ebay is that you don't have to find the nearly lonely person who will want to pay the high price.

Spider riders are sold for a medium prices. They where higher years ago. Last ones went for approx 40-50 if i remember well.

Avoid Ebay ?

Either put hem up here, or try to use Miniature Bids. Looks like the better alternative for trading/selling minis!

search for it on internet. IT is a new initiative that is catching like wildfire. NO cost for Seller or Buyer for basic stuff, and some upgrade packages for sellers if you want to do fancy things.

Not sure you can sell outside of your own country on there.

The idea with a squig unit is really awesome!
