My Group Getting Into Warmaster
« on: November 07, 2013, 08:48:16 PM »
Hello all!

I thought since it's quiet I would just say that it's pretty interesting how games appear and disappear within a gaming group.  I was trying to build Warhammer, 40k, then SAGA, even Epic and Infinity forces and never reallygot the impetus to get any Warmaster done.  Then, ironically, as soon as GW started pulling SG from their website, I was invited by a friend to teach him the rules at his house - then people started getting interested and researching models.

Someone very pro-active and more energetic than myself in the group proposed a challenge to get a small army painted and so people got more excited and about half a dozen people are making or painting armies.

We've done some battles but with things not painted and really not knowing the rules, yet! Or teaching new rules to each new person as we "recruit" them into it. =-D

We've made a little sub forum and if any interesting model pics or battle reports get posted I thought I might post the links here in this topic as time goes on and we get into the game.  I think 2014 might be a year with a lot of Warmaster gaming going on! =)

@jChaos79

Me: I have Chaos, Empire, Dwarves, High Elves, Kislev.  All GW models.  Ones I started building were HE, Dwarves, Chaos.  Settled on Chaos to do first.

Trev: Is Painting Undead.  Mixture of GW and Kalistra.  He has HE and Lizardmen too but not enough for a larger army.  He's on 1000 points painted already!

Denis: Has bought Kalistra Dark Elves.

Gary: Has bought Kalistra and Copplestone Orcs and Goblins, is well under way painting them.  Also has some desire for Dwarves, too.

Russ: Has bought Bretonnian proxies, Old Glory I think?

Mark: Has BOFA and some 6mm goblins to try and make a small O&G army.

Christoph: Has GW undead, heading for 1000 points painted too.  Initially desired Dwarves due to their playstyle.

Looks like a great group! How are Kallistra and GW undead ranking up? Also, saw on the forum that somebody had bought Pendraken Dark Elves. Typo?

Ah yes, must be Pendraken, then!

We've had some battles but our forces have been so spartan and un painted and our knowledge of the rules so poor that I've mostly taken photos just to ask questions about rules. =-P

As we get on I promise to do some brief little battle reports. =)
