The kicker is that the better you get at painting, the longer it takes to get shit done.... When I was younger I'd churn out armies no problem. Does that 6mm model really need two highlights? I can't bring myself to dumb my paintjobs down...

Before I joined up there was a "Tale of Painters" or something with a similar thing, encouraging people to paint a unit a month - perhaps we should be trying to encourage each other that way :-X

my goodness 20kilos . thats a lot .

I think even if i  ( got painted ) painted 15 units a month it would take a very long time to get through it , partly because i keep adding units and armies .

must stop pressing buy now , bidding on you know where .

But the good news is that there is the beginnings and alot of interest in 10mm , for a while there i was getting a little worried .

now i'm smiling

I've got:

2k of high elves
2k of undead
My wip kislev force
Mordheim witch hunters
Escher gang

Then I've got the core gw stuff:

An ever expanding tau army
A large sisters of battle army
A large praetorian army (150 infantry models)
Ogre kingdoms army
Chaos dwarfs
And a horrendous amount of lotr stuff

I wish I could make more time to get it done but I'm too slow and my spare time is dominated by motorcycles :/
Looking for Warmaster players for games around london and surrey.

Having read the thread, I now realise that my pile of partly-painted and unpainted metal is perhaps not as bad as I had thought ...

3k Slaanesh Daemons/Chaos/Chaos Dwarves (work in progress)
3k Beastmen (unpainted)
3k Dogs of War/Araby - Marienburg (unpainted)
2k Empire - Nuln (unpainted)

But the good news is that I seem to have broken my Empire habit - although I can see a relapse coming.
"I cannot believe you when you say [your friend] has identical plastic boxes for his armies, all color coded [...] Don't you think that is being little obsessive?"
"Yes, but not enough to scare us wargamers."

My problem is I always say to myself "I wait till I paint this model, when my painting skills are better because it's such a cool OOP piece."  :-[

As for now i have
BFG:
- Large Chaos fleet, 30 cruisers and the same number of escorts, all of the battleships plus ordance.
- Huge corsair eldar fleet in various stages of painting, some forge world stuff i will not touch until i'm sure my painting wouldn't ruin it.
- Forge World Tau fleet - same here.
- Crafworld eldar one of each ship plus escorts.
- Also Tyranids plus some imperium, space marines and Adeptus mechanicus ships.
Necromunda - Escher gang and Scavvies
Mordheima - Skaven
Also i still go my Space hulk and Dreadfleet models unpainted.  :-\

Warmaster - 2.5k of dwarfs completely unpainted

Epic - ~8k imperial fists remaining, 4k of white scars, 4k of emperor's children, 4k of death guard, 4k of Saim-Hann, 12k of "craftworld eldar", 10k of orks, 15k of guard, 4k of titand

The ridiculous thing is that I had a fully painted 8k guard army which I swapped for an unpainted one.....
