Specialist games bargins

So with the insane prices sweeping most specialist games stuff on ebay, has anyone had any bargains? I've managed to get the Amarda book for £21 including postage.

Someone put up pictures on eBay of Warmaster Chaos.  Each one was meant to be 4 or 5 blisters but they only showed a picture of one so bidders such as myself only put in low bids.  I won about 8 chaos warriors and marauder blisters, but I was gutted I hadn't bid more on the Chaos Knights.  I only bid £8 or so, so £1 a unit.

Only bargain I ever got was my [WM] Undead army. Bought via ebay-Canada to Blighty. About 2500-ish pts built and a bag of spare bits that can bring it up to 3000 ish pts. Cost me a little over £100 inc postage and import fees. This was about 7 years ago now though. Since then... 1 unit of Undead Chariots from Israel for £18, does that count? Probably not!

Hi

I was very suprised when 4 chaos chariots and 4 Chaos knights arrived in the post from ebay as Stormwind says it only had a picture of the one unit

We're talking about recent bargains here, not boasting about past glories!  There's a whole other thread for that nonsense. ;-)

Just got a Dark Elf Riders unit for only £5, whilst scalpers are still trying to sell them for £40 or so.

I would have loved to be the guy who bought those lizardmen lots of 3 or 4 blisters each NIB with a crested stegadon each time for 50$ per lot...

If the winner is here, i'm interested in a crested steg NIB :)

I was looking at those auctions and had decided to spend some $$ but when I went to bid, they were done.  I was lucky enough to get the last one - it was a crested steg but out of blister.

Marell - send me a PM with a list of stuff (rares) that I might be interested in.  We might be able to come to a mutual arrangement.

Well I actualy menage to get a bargain for SG stuff from time to time. I think that's mainly because ebay never surpassed local auction service so the poll of buyers is much smaller. For example I menage to obtain a mint BFG Adeptus mechanicus Ark for about £20, or Necromunda Spyrrer Matriarch, unpainted, for crazy  £5.

I've had a couple of real bargains.... neither on ebay though.... just when GW pulled the plug a chap on warseer offered me a box of eldar, asked £60 for it, so it wasn't super cheap but when he sent me pics there must have been £4-500 worth in there.... 25 metal falcons, titans, 13 superheavies, vampires, nightwings and just so much stuff I just about tore his arm off....  the second was a guy who had listed a marine army on ebay, I lamented that I would have bought some stuff before he listed it and he offered to pull the auction for me, got about 5000 points of latest edition marine stuff for £55....
