Wait, did you seriously get complaints? I can't believe it, that's nuts.
"Killing this project with too few updates" paraphrasing a complaint I saw on tmp or some such. So naturally I pick that scab whenever I have the chance :P

Not really, just this:

My local group has since run with it, hence my too many/few updates.
Yeah, that's the one. I agree with that guy!

...what a dingus.

My order arrived today which is phenomenally fast given that you only got the ball rolling in May. Excellent work!

I've not had a chance to look over the pikemen yet, but the zweihanders are absolutely fantastic sculpts with crisp detail, loads of variety and dynamism. The casting quality is better than the GW Empire figures I was prepping at the same time (no mould lines or flash that I could detect) and they scale perfectly.

Thanks! Really looking forward to the next sets.

Mine arrived in the UK today, really quick turn around on the whole project, so a big well done on the organisational part.

And as others have said the casts are amazingly clean, I don't think I have seen any flash or mold feeds on any of the figures. Excellent.

The clothing looks great, lots of slashing and bits of armour.

Still not 100% sure about cast on pikes, I do like the lack of assembly which can be hard work on small figures, but there is the problem of bendy pikes. But I think I will take lack of assembly over bendiness.

For those who want to create very dynamic units, most of the zweihanders should clip apart, but you will need fine clippers to get between the feet of some. But I think in general there are that many pairs you won't need to.

Mine arrived today as well. They look even better in the flesh, errm, metal  ;).

I'm not sure my painting skills are up to doing them justice but I'll give it a go.

Forbes, I think only one pair of Zweihanders needs to be cut, to place a couple of guys behind the standard bearer and musician.

Hi Dave

Just received my pike and Zweihanders really pleased beautiful castings detail superb, only one pike casualty out of the 16 pike units which is very good for the mail :)  can't wait to get them painted and on the table

will  purchase more for sure if you produce other units.

Many Thanks

Paul

CAUTION!!

Whilst pressing the strips into Blue Tack prior to undercoating, I've discovered the Zweihanders bend easily at the ankles.

None have broken but the first time it happened it was a little un-nerving.

Glad you guys like them. In terms of snipping them apart...

Only one Zweihander strip is problematic, the crossed swords one. If you have a sharp knife it's manageable though, but will need some filing afterwords.

Each of the three front-rank pikemen strips would need to be cut as well as the plumes on the guy in the front hit the pike of the guy in back. I can't see much of a reason to separate those guys unless you're not a fan of how I laid the unit out.
