The Hall of the Twin Citadels.
« on: August 27, 2014, 11:17:23 AM »
I had been thinking about painting a dwarf army for some time and decided to finally take a stab. I wanted to go with a basing style that was more subterranean and decided to add no foliage. The bases have painted on green areas that are supposed to resemble moss.

The first units up are two formations of dwarf iron clads.

Thanks for looking,

Very nice painting. These are very detailed figures for the scale!

My only suggestion for 'next time' would be to have more figures on the base, more closely packed so as to give the impression of a massed rank. Of course this racks up the cost quickly as the down side!

Yes sir i agree, but as you have stated budget limits. They are also so spread so when a base is side by side with another they look more uniform like that are a cohesive formation.

Looking good. Having spacing between bases like that is important IMO.

I like the mushroom trees. They really help with your underground theme.

The Blister Caps are sweet!  Great choice of colors.
