They could be... I don't recall where I got the idea for the flag.  I think something like this described in one the Captain Alatriste Novels. I just wanted something I could paint by hand that looked like it could be a historic flag but wouldn't necessarily stick them in a specific army.

Yep then could be some Aragon or Navarra flag or something, as Capitan alatriste the (fantasy) history of spanish soldier.

Like the flag, love the red/white stripey trousers and shirts! Waaaay beyond my level of skill though  :(

Thanks Andy for the kind words.  I was pleased with how they cam out but I do not think I did anything exceptional.
