Sorry for hi-jacking this thread, but we had some similar situations in last fridays game.
Charge-question:
In one situation some cav charged an inf unit.
In front of the inf, slightly sideways and 3cm ahead of it , was an impassable rock.
First cav stand goes in. Second goes in on right side of first. When third were to go, we discovered that the gap between first and the rock to its left, was exactly 2cm.
Question, will the gap rule stop the third from going in?
On the far right side of the second, was a wood, so no other place for third to go to.
We figured gap rule had prescidence, so no base to base with third.
Correct?
Pursue-question:
We had a small hill with woods on each side. Inf were crowding most parts of the hill.
After cav charging in, the pursue brought two cav stands directly into contact, but third had to go around due to other units blocking the way. This has no distance limit, but when looking for open ways into the pursued unit (now in the middle of all other inf on the hill) no clear way were found. Except a gap between a wood and an enemy unit (three actually). The gap(-s) was less then 4cm wide.
So does the gap rule stop pursuing stands?
We thought so and only let the two first stands get into base to base.
Correct?
