myself, empireaddict and two other fine gents partook in a wee spot of warmaster this afternoon at warhammer world, the sides were 2k of dark elves with 1k of slaanesh daemon allies, and 2k of empire with 1k of ogre mercenaries, the game ended with a narrow victory to the empire+ogres who were a single unit away from their own break point.... several blunders from the dark elf commanders saw the sorceress and a hero executed very early on in the game
we had the usual insane luck swinging back and forth througout the afternoon and it made for the most enjoyable game of warmaster I've played so far!
I took quite a few pictures, but had a bit too much fun to take them regularly or make notes so we'll have to make do with pics and captions...
the dark elves and daemons "tactically" withold the bulk of their forces
ogres occupy the ruined temple and prepare to be a massive thorn in the side of the dark elves....
....like constantly charging out, whacking a few dark riders off their horses, then withdrawing into the charge-proof terrain....
cold one knights circumvent the log jam in the middle, and look to outflank the empire lines, they promptly fail to charge
huzzah we've captured the field, just within range of the empire cannon!
the giant soaks up two volleys and 56 shots before finally succumbing!
ogres shove the hydra back into the deadly woods
the fields of valhalla.... littered with the dead of the dark elves and banished daemons....
it's a similar story for the good guys up in good guy heaven....
