AAR: Dark Elves vs. Bretonnians [1500 points]

It is a pleasure to read the report. It happens again, bretonian army caught my eye. I like the look of the army in the pictures.

Heh, well! You'll be pleased to know that the proud owner of those Brets was planning on selling them just recently, but I begged him to reconsider!

Russ can build and paint an army super fast - he's currently working on a proxy Araby army made (again) using Pendraken figures.

Why so many magic items? 330pts for the Dark Elves, I think- that's a large chunk of points. I also found your distribution odd- why give the banner of shielding to crossbowmen? a 6+ save, lost when the first stand is lost, can't have done much?

I like the bretts and like see them fighting in the battletable, not interested to buy. I am please  to see the figures in action and of course I am interested in see how it has been proxy the araby army.

I also have an araby proxy army with pendraken, irregular, old glory and a bit of GW and fits well !

The magic items were to make it up to 1500 as Denis still has some units to paint up.

Great report!

It's interesting to see you on the offensive so early in the game. Looks like the majority of the battle took place in the Bretonnian deployment zone.

I think if you had a little bit more terrain on the field you could have used the infantry to more of andvantage.

Anyway we can see the Bret list?

Russ is painting up some Pegasus Knights so he can use the fan list.

As stated the Dark Elf player is topping the army to 1500 with Magic items as the lead wasn't ready.
The Dark Elf player in other rule sets wins more often than he loses, what has been interesting though is that he has lost more games than he has won in WM. I believe the high level of Magic items is the cause of this.
When he has enough metal on the table and the magic items decrease, then we will see changes.

Also his penchant for rolling high is normally a boon, but getting double sixes as Dark Elves means he gets into trouble.
