made my sister in law play a game!!!

she won  :(

I gave her the imperial fleet and the wind, she charged very quickly against me.  I used the islands to break her line up but my blood ship didn't get through like I hoped in the center to come back around at the greatship to help the iron sharks tear it apart.

in the end I sunk 1 wolfship and completely destroyed (but didn't sink) another.  captured a war galley in the center and all but 1 iron shark was captured by the massive crew of the greatship as they waited desperately for the blood ship to tear through a squadron, which takes a few turns.

I gave the game 7 turns and of course gave her every bit of help as possible.  Allowed for 2 times the battle honors for captured ships and regular battle honors for a sunken ship, she won because my warriors on the bloodship rolled a 1 and failed to capture the second war galley it was entangled with in the center.

overall it was a lot of fun, she is a bit of an artistic girl so she was curious for the painted models and was deeply impressed with all of the ships laid out on the table top.  I told her it would be fun and she hated me for making her play but in the end she had a lot of fun as I knew she would and she agreed that it is a fairly simple game to play.

another close up of the blood ship and it's prey

We also had plenty of 10 year old glenlivet to help give her some liquid courage!  it worked and she won

Funniest first 2 words I've seen in a while  :P

Well done on dragging a relative into a game. That can be hard work.

I had to admit that I had dreams at first too, such a fun game.  :)
