Hey guys.. time for another quick battle report. It was small battle, but the point is to show off with my new winter scenery

I played enhanced Kislev from Trial Armies book (lovin' it) and my friend played Dwarf army. I've got to say it wasn't one of his luckiest days... like 80% of his throws were far below the average... but that's what is this game about as well...
From the beginning of the battle, both sides were very cautious. At these point value, losing one brigade means loosing the game. No one wanted to make the first mistake. As Kislev really suffers from long range enemy fire, I had a little trick up my sleeve reserved for cannons. My shaman used Ring of magic to cast Freeze on cannon unit to reduce it to one stand... well he failed. Fortunately the Tzarina rolled 6 to cast the spell herself an reduced the cannons for him. That proved very useful.

Round 2

After loosing the main long range destructive power, dwarves decided to apply their most beloved tactics- hamburger hill

In their fourth round, the Runesmith failed to issue an important order to move their right brigade into my left flank where I left not very wisely placed cavalry. Lucky me got away with this mistake. After this fiasco, dwarfs decided to stay where they are and unleash short range hell. But again, with those rolls, he only managed to push back my light cavalry cannon fodder reducing one unit by stand and confusing the other.
In the following turn, my fancy winged lancer brigade failed to punish the dwarf right wing either. On the other side of the battlefield I was successful (thank you Orb) in charging with bears into his three line deep dwarf brigade. Bears were supported with shaman and terror causing yozhin. Oh my, how tough those little guys are... Bears are real killing machine, but if it wasn't for my opponent's bad rolls, they wouldn't be able to take more than one and a half unit with them, before they were dead. But in such situation, they succeded to wipe out two units and loosing just one stand themselves and getting behind enemy lines at the same time.. Dwarf left wing was smashed..

In next turn dwarfs concentrated their fire on my exposed winged lancers...again they were pushed back, confused, but didn't lose a stand...However the brigade was shattered. Though only one lancer unit was able to charge next turn. together with bears charging into dwarf center brigade's back it was sufficient to make dwarfs withdraw....
Kislev didn't lose a single whole unit... lucky day for them..
