particulR situation
« on: June 28, 2015, 11:09:50 AM »
A unit of cavalry charched some rat swarm that are next to a wood , caval win but can t pursuit because gap between wood and another brigade of 6 unit 3on the front and 3 supporting is not enough. We do this cav aadvance onto the new brigade ( maybe it have to pursuit into it instead?) Then the cav destroyed the unit he advanced in at this point we pursuit the cav into the supporting unit rear the destroyed one. We make any error?

If I remember correctly the cavalry can only contact a new enemy by advancing, and can only advance if the original enemy unit was destroyed- not if it retreated out of range.

Hi Lilith a lot of time since you write the last time. If I remember correctly you were painting an orc army, arent you? Glad to read you again!

Concerning your question I think Geep is right.

In the situation when a cavalry win but can not pursuit (same situation as infantry vs cavalry, infantry win but can not pursuit cavalry) it is not allowed to make and advance onto other enemy unit.

But because they are won they can choose to stay there or retreat 3D6 cm, and of course, at the end of the phase as they had fought they can recolocate (realign the bases) the orientation.

Thanks chaos and geep . Yes i had a beatifull orc army but sold it when no one play warmaster near me , now i refounded a friend who play it and i use card proxy from muster :(.  Second game now but we are rusty are 3 or more years we don t play. So in this case the cavalry can t pursuit?  If his pursuit movement (without contacting the wood) take in contact with new enemy what happened? Combat or it can t pursuit at all?

If the cavalry can still touch the pushed-back unit then it's a pursuit, and the new unit is drawn into the combat.
If the cavalry can't touch the pushed-back unit, the only way for them to contact the new unit is through an Advance- but that's not allowed here, as the pushed-back unit still lives.
