[WM] Empire versus Chaos & Ogres
« on: August 18, 2015, 08:56:36 PM »
Yesterday three of us got together for a game at Warhammer World.  3k Chaos + 1k Ogres versus 4k Empire.  Some annotated pictures below. I played Empire.  Have to say that the Chaos side had some incredibly erratic dice rolls which extended my survival long after I deserved to have reached break!

@Stormwind, I had hoped the wall would stop them.  That combat was incredibly close.  The knights won by one in the first round and then rampaged.

@JChaos79, we've found that 4k either side on a 6' x 4' table is a really good size.  Not too crowded so some room for movement and manageable in a day with a late morning start and a decent lunch break.

Great stuff - did you get any trouble from GW types trying to find non-GW models in your armies?

Great looking battle, and it was a pleasure to meet you at the game

I personally find 4k a bit too crowded on a 6ft x 4ft. But I have been using Orcs fairly often, that may be the reason

@Stormwind, no we came under no 'surveillance'.  That said, they were probably glad for the custom.  Utterly unscientific, but my impression - compared to a weekday last summer - was that it was pretty quiet in the gaming hall.

@calmacil, yes that would be rather crowded!  One of the Saffron Walden players does O&G (and sometimes just G) and his 2k battle line can fill 6' if he doesn't have much depth.

@Geep, many thanks.  I'm trying to remember to take the camera to games to try and spread the WM love!
