man, busy weekend. I had my three year old's birthday party this weekend and we had some visitor's all weekend included my nephew who has turned into a bit of a terror when it comes to these game pieces so I have kept it on the shelf unfortunately.
yeah I would have to agree with the scale creep as I have now seen a few youtube videos of the models I was thinking about from warhammer/mordheim and they all seem to reach out over other squares and in a room full of them it might get messy. I was just looking for models to replace my heroes on the board, not the monsters.
I am fixating on the old ral-partha models. The 7 models I got will be able to play empire perfectly and be done with that race. I am also only going to do this for the four races that me and my brother have so I need dwarf, chaos and high elves still. The dwarves and elves of that era are really easy to come by on ebay but the chaos models are all the most expensive ones. Actually all I can look up are "evil" ral partha models and then they can be painted to look like chaos.
Other than those additional models I am not looking to modify the board game at all and too keep the current models. Otherwise I see this getting mucho mucho expensive when it doesn't need to be.
The weapons that heroes can purchase throughout the quests will give warmaster heroes an additional +1 or +2 during their combat bonus' and certain quests will add a +1 to an individual's commands with a maximum of +2. AND, the campaign game I am playing has a chart to roll against for wounded heroes so I think I will use that for when your heroes "die" during the quest but still complete the quests. I might still put a "critical" body point range for each character to make it more likely to be "wounded" if it is indeed too easy for a hero to live through a quest, but for right now, a hero has died in each of the 2 quests. These quests have been by me playing by myself and my wife just to speed through only to see if anyone dies.
My wife still just doesn't really understand the game so she gets bored easily LOL
She hasnt played any of these games at all in her life so its just fun to coax her into it.

Plus, I believe the ral partha's are 25mm scale and the warhammer is 28mm scale (am I wrong, its from memory) and sitting side by side the ral parthas I have look the same as the board's plastic pieces, will post a pic tomorrow night just for a perspective.
