wastes of death!
Even the wastes should have some terrain so we use two terrain features:
1) We use the non-green terrain (stone colour, brown colour with skulls below) like rough/broken terrain. It is considered not open (so +1 of charge does not count), cavalry can pass but chariots not.
2) Also the mountain, is treated as defended if the attacker begins in a below level and lf the target is in the edge is treated as not open (so +1 of charge does not count). The mountain was flat, not spherical.
Also I like to think that skulls in the ground scream when a units is in the nearby. Just thinking while writing: that could be a cool rule for future games.
Skull Terrain. The soil is made by layers of screaming skulls from tortured souls and fallen combatants. Treat as open but the unit on it is treated as affected by terror, unlesst the unit causes terror itself, in this case the unit is not affected.
That could be a powerful terrain. Specially for the undeads.
