How do you engage flyers in combat ? . I believe  that biological flyers are more hoping ie in your turn they are classed as on the ground . Is there a difference with mechanical flyers ie dwarf gyro copters , Araby magic carpets ? .

Like any other unit. You just can't pursue unless the pursuer is a flying unit as well.
