Tim's Imperial fleets blog

Thought I'd throw up pics of my Imperial Navy fleet, such as it is. Most of the painted stuff is Ebay rescues.

The painted part of the fleet.

The Emprah (none of the ships are named yet). Badly assembled (should have taken it apart and rebuilt it), stripped and repainted.

Cruiser group 1. Some detail added

Cruiser group 2. Some detail added

Cruiser group 3. Some detail added

Swords

More Swords

And onto unpainted stuff...

Dauntlesses

Cobras

More Cobras

Resin Cobras

Thunderbolts

Stations

Heavy transport with magnetized bays

What material is it printed in? FD, FUD or FXD?

They are FUD, which is all he offers.

Also got these for filling the bays:

There also equipped versions of these ships. They are hollow, so I cut out holes in each of the weapon bays and filled the ship with Magic Sculpt.

Some other stuff...

Heavy transport primered

Shapeways destroyers with prows flipped to "correct" orientation

Voss Destroyers

Voss light cruisers

And a pile of Falchions ready for paint, if I only knew what color I was going to paint them. The plan is to go with Great White Fleet (between the wars US fleet) at least somewhat like the battleship is painted.

Uh oh, he's back...

At long last I got started on some Covid building/painting about a week ago.

Pics:
My primary fleet is Death Guard, so my Imperial fleet  has languished a bit. Its mostly of Ebay rescues with little paint touch up here and there and an Emperor repaint. See pic 1 in this thread. Want to go a bit more unified so have been painting a bunch of:
Very WIP Gothic Sector fleet ships; Cobras, Falchions, Firestorms, Dauntlesses and two large fleet transports. A few of the Dauntlesses have been magnetized so that I can do the Endeavor variants. Fifth Dauntless from the left is fitted with launch bays (only on one side at this point).
Primed Imperial transports, Conquest Galleon and a magnetized Vanguard Panther that will become an AdMech heavy frigate of some sort.

That's a lot of ships!  I do love seeing people rescue things from eBay.

Baby Ramilies is coming along well. Some seam puttying and a few more details and its ready for paint. Base models are a few pieces of Gregster's Lab Terrain from Vanguard that have been chopped and recombined. Then added some chaos lances and imperial weapons batteries.
