1 May.  Start of the work-in-progress.

Good choices for trolls empireaddict, are you going to make the army of Thorgg the Troll King?

My projecto is the army of The Thousend Sons of Saint Papa Nurgle,

I need 3x daemon horde, to make the minium infantry. The problem is that only have 1 blister of plague bearers... but this is not really a problem but a challange. I will split the figures and make two units. The third unit is on the way from insectoid range of magister millitum. I bought it without seeing the figures, but I could figure out that some insectoids could fit as a horde of fly-men, bugg-men from Nurgle.

Then 2x daemon swarms, not have in my actual home the nurglins, but I have some insects, worms from pendraken so I though it could fit and a Nurgle army MUST have some little naughty critters  ;D

2x daemon cavalry, I have some official cavalry and also something that fit perfect, some 28mm nurglings with plague bearers in the back.

1x flyers I was just looking for some giant flies and saw that magister militum have some wasps in the insectoid range, so I could use them for Nurgle.

1x grater daemon this is the monster, the guy who hit in the battlefield. I will use the Chaos Daemon Prince who is clearly from Nurgle... a female warrior who won the status of Demon Prince..very grotesque figure.

Then the charaters:

1x Daemon overlord This is the general. I choose a Nurgle type unclean one big daemon. To show the size I would like to make a little conversion. So I will put the hand upright and put a figure on them, could be a toured soul ready to be eaten by the Unclean one, could be that the Nurgle is granting power to a warrior or could be a Choosen one in the hand of the daemon who is really the one making the commands... just ideas, I will look for the figures or something...

1x Hero Not reallly the daemon topic, but when I think in nurgle I always think in those palanquins of Nurgle... when I was just a kid I love those figures and never had one. So I am starting to think who I could make a Nurgle hero on palanquin. And I have a couple of ideas....

Once the army is planned, I will start with 1x Daemon horde, 1x daemon cavalry and 1x Daemon character I choose the general.

About painting I will try some inks. Toon introduce me in the use giving me some advices, and since then I bought 5 o 6 inks. So Nurgle is a good topic to make some test of who the inks work (I think).

Let's start with some pictures

@jchaos79, Thorgg the Troll King sounds like fun but these guys will just be a small addition to my Orc army (2 x Giants, 2 x Trolls).

@andys, The back story is that I augmented my Chaos Dwarf army with Copplestone and GW Orcs to the point where I could have a standalone 2k Orc army.  This gave me an excuse to imitate the ‘Now for Wrath’ blogger and get some Reaper River Trolls to proxy as giants
http://wrathruinandthereddawn.blogspot.co.uk/2014_08_01_archive.html

And then, having seen Nesbit37’s use of Eureka 18mm Armoured Trolls, I decided that I had to have 2 units of them!

http://eurekaminusa.com/collections/fantasy-armoured-trolls

So many thanks to both of them for the inspiration!

I ‘edited out’ the Eureka Trolls without helmets/weapons as they looked a bit out of place.  They might make an appearance as Ogres in a future project.  My plan is to go for a classic blue skin with rusty armour due to their damp habitat and poor personal hygiene.

@andys, That is so true.  Never been a better time for a newbie to get into Warmaster?!

I'm late to the party, but I'm planning to get a unit of skeleton chariots and skeleton archers done by the end of the month.

First post updated, we have 20 participants this month. Glad to see it's off to a good start guys. I'll hopefully get to paint tomorrow night and be able to post pics this week.
