don't you think its casting value is a little too lower? isn't better a 5+ ?  You can use to raise a stand of deamon beast that are worth 220 (so a stand is near 75 point) or cavalry (this is a little less power) with a range of 60 (plus the 60 or 100 charac movement)  . Maybe with the same casting value you can change and raise only infantry? what you think ?

DL army has been around for some time now and is (a)tuned to a balanced playing field, so personaly I think there is no problem with the casting level. The DL player will ALWAYS have a tactical consideration WHERE and WHEN to use the spell

Honnestly, in all my WM experience spellcasting and/or Magic items are seldom the factors determining victory !!!

ok on the look they are written this spell seems powerfull to me , but you tell on the practice isn't so good  i'm reassured (i think is the correct writing , my english isn't so good)

If you are using standard V2.2 rules...then YES....fully agree with you....this spell is to good as you could field up to 5 wizzards in a game of 2.000 pts.

I played DL for quite a long time and had a period of 2 years where I almost did not lose any game with them.

That´s why we dongraded DL army list as follows:
(This downgrade is still unofficial but is common practice in all our tournaments)

Daemon Swarms - no more armor save.
Maximum of 1 wizzard per 1.000 points.
Maxium of 1 flying hero allowed to take "Favour of the gods" per 1.000 points
Reduced point values of Heroes and wizzards by 10 points for not having the flying ability when taking them. Flying ability can be bought for them for 10 points.

Beleave me ....with this downgrading the DL still is one of the toughest to beat army (besides Lizzardmen) in hands of a skille General.

in a 1k game you can take general wizard and normal wizard right? so 2 mage a 1k and 3 at 2k?
