cheers malika.
thats officially the last of my 'big' stuff gone on this one conversion now though. so I cant really make anything else out of anything for a while I fear... :(

all ive left now is a few frigates and escort stuff, some prows and a load of tiny embellishment bitz and one of lordB's high conveyors Ive no idea what to do with...

anyone up for a swap up? LOL

Show us the bits you've got. I'm not in the position to do a swap, I've just donated my entire ancient bits box (mainly 3rd edition 40k and 5th edition WFB) to the fellows at 28 Mag to support the community. But I'm curious what bits you have left over, maybe we can throw some suggestions at you for conversions?  8)

lols, no I meant the high conveyor. its a great model and all but I've done one and I don't really feel the yen to do another. and have no heart to hack at it to convert it into something else. it feels like sacrilege...

don't want to ebay it as that's lordB's platform of choice for selling them anyway so that would be purest bad form...

in truth i figure everyone on here already has one so i guess i'll just hang onto it for now...

If you're on Facebook you could perhaps try to trade it for a Zeus cruiser if anyone in the community still has one?

This one:

But without the moon buried in it. It comes with different wings and transport modules as opposed to helian launch bays but it can take any imperial modules...

This is it too:

 on lordborak's eBay auction page where he sells them...

Ah, that one. Cool thing.

I dunno from top of my head, I have one Tau Protector (rc), Imperial Cruiser (oc), CWE pulsar lancer (oc), some original Imperial prows. And some other stuff I cannot remember.

Haha,
rc = recast
oc = original cast

Pulsar Lance = the weapon bit from a Craftworld Eldar cruiser.

so i got this done this weekend:

the photos are terrible but I've not the time to do proper shots so they'll come later...

as you can see a lot has changed on the lower and docking section since the wip shots. its much more solid looking now and also features some asymmetrically placed systems, some hangy bridgey bits and some smaller docking arms for 'lesser' ships...
was interesting to do but a bit of a logistical nightmare to paint... thank god for sub assemblies.
kinda glad this is done now though!

What a gorgeous centrepiece, I'm trying to figure out how much is scratchbuilt and how much is GW / AT ruins!

Many thanks guys.

In actual fact only the big weapon battery barrels and the flat central "plate" is scratch build. Made from cheapo thick plasticard with cardboard and food packaging skin on top with some angled plasticard strips as the 'runway' edges.

The rest is simply the gw-AT scenery cut to bejesus...
plus some actual bfg stuff and a few 40k bits for flavour.

3rd part bitz? There's helion stuff in there (turrets and weapon batteries) and a lot of panthera weapons on the plate edges too (but that's obvious) oh, and the resin-addict transport ship...

Oh yeah, there is a plastic cava bottle lid on the underside as a big ass dome too, but you can't see that in these shots.
