Dogs of War verses High Elves
« on: November 16, 2016, 09:27:10 AM »
I had a small 1000 point game against my friend Simon last night. I had my Dogs of War with a break of 5, he had his High Elves, which you might be mistaken in thinking look like ancient greeks and romans but I can assure you there are pointy ears under their hats, with a break of 4.

Highlights include his 2 Silverhelms making a 3 order first turn charge on my 2 Knights. My Knights died but his Silverhelms were reduced to a stand each. They then hid the rest of the game behind a wood!

My Estalian Pikemen managed an initiative flank charge on a Reaver unit. Reduced them to one stand, fell back into brigade position, he failed the order to move them and my galloper guns finished them off in my following turn.

The Republican Pikemen managed to destroy the other unit of Reavers in a frontal charge and ridiculous dice by me but did lose a stand.

The Estalians and Fellowship pike then made the long march up the table to finally manage a flank charge into the Elf infantry hiding in the wood. Light Cavalry positioned just outside the wood to crush anyone who tried to fallback from the fight.

Some more lucky dice from me sees the elves squished after 2 rounds. A win to me, 2-4.

Very nice!  I like to see the small 1000 point games.  Also I am loving all the pendraken miniatures I am seeing, those were the first 10mm figures I ever bought!

Thanks guys  ;D
It was a fun little game. In another couple of weeks my Dogs and Simon's Elves will be teaming up to face EmpireAddict's Vampire Counts which should be a fun game as well.
